Why is Perros-Guirec a dream destination for campers ?

Perched on the Pink Granite coast, Perros-Guirec is the most popular resort in Côtes-d’Armor and the perfect destination for a camping holiday ! Perros-Guirec is a buzzing family resort all year round boasting beautiful sandy beaches, breathtaking landscapes, casino, seawater therapy thalassotherapy centre and a choice of shops.

Three of the finest sandy beaches in Brittany !

Trestraou beach is one of the best known beaches in Perros-Guirec and also one of the sunniest. It is very popular with families, thanks to the beach club (Club des Marsouins), but also with watersports enthusiasts : sailing, kayaking, surfing, diving, paddle-boarding and sea wading are amongst the favourite activities enjoyed by campers. A sailing school, surf school and diving centre are located on the beach. Trestrignel beach, located east of Perros-Guirec, is a wilder beach and not so busy in the summer. Tourists can swim and just look up to admire the Belle Epoque villas

The pink granite rocks beach and not as busy in the summer. Holidaymakers can swim and just look up to which overlook Trestrignel. When you stroll around the town of Ploumanac’h you’ll come across Saint-Guirec beach. This small white sand beach has a gentle slope and is lifeguarded in July and August. Not far from the beach is the Oratory of Saint-Guirec where young, single girls would come to stick a needle into the nose of the saint’s statue. If the needle stayed there, they were sure to marry before the end of the year !

The pink granite rocks of Ploumanac’h, a magical place seen through rose-tinted glasses !

Elected « Village préféré des Français » (favourite village of the French people) in 2015, Ploumanac’h is an iconic village in Perros-Guirec. Start at Trestraou beach and head towards Saint-Guirec beach and discover one of the most incredible pink granite rock formations in the world. You will come face to face with huge rocks sculpted by the wind and sea over 300 million years. This spectacular formation of granite rocks has to be seen to be believed. Come along at sun set and watch the rocks turn a shade of red. Further afield is the Mean Ruz lighthouse which is also made of pink granite ! If you love hiking, head for the GR 34 coastal path which links Trestraou beach to Saint-Guirec beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Côtes d’Armor. The fauna and flora is outstanding and with the famous Pink Granite coast as a backdrop, it packs an incredibly scenic punch ! For further information, visit the Maison du Littoral located opposite Pors Kamor lighthouse. The coastguards and team at this interactive centre will give you an insight into the history of the site and the origin of the pink granite through exhibitions, activities and nature trails…

Set sail for the Sept-Iles archipelago, a must-visit during your camping holiday !

Need to get away ? A trip to Perros-Guirec would not be complete without a boat trip around the 7 Iles, an archipelago of seven islands a few miles north of the Pink Granite coast. An amazing sight ! On a ferry or old sailing ship, take a tour of the 7 islands (Rouzic, Malban, Bono, Moines, Plate, Costans, Cerfs). The only island you can land on is Ile aux Moines. The 7 Iles archipelago is the largest and oldest bird sanctuary in France. It is also home to grey seals who live permanently on the islands. Daily boat trips (morning and afternoon) are available from April to September, departing from Perros-Guirec ferry port on Trestraou beach.
